Baptisms

Congratulations on your decision to have your child baptised.

Baptism is the first sacrament of initiation into the Catholic Church and marks the beginning of a lifelong journey of faith. Through the blessing of water and the invocation of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, those being baptised are welcomed into the Christian community.

For infants and young children, parents and godparents make a profession of faith on their behalf and undertake to nurture them in the Catholic faith with the support of the Church community.

We offer Baptisms at the Church of the Blessed Sacrament, Gore. To arrange a Baptism or to learn more about the process, please contact us via our Contact Form.
